A chance of rain showers persists today, mainly along and south of US Route 24. Otherwise, dry today for the remainder of the area with much cooler conditions in store. Temperatures only slightly moderate into Friday, but periods of rain come back into the picture for Friday, with an isolated thunderstorm possible. In addition, waves will build today across southern Lake Michigan behind a cold front leading to dangerous swimming conditions. If visiting the beaches, stay out of the water.
